Role Overview

The Marketing Manager will lead brand awareness, content creation, and marketing initiatives for Port 51 Lending, a leading SBA non-bank lender. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for executing marketing efforts across channels while tracking performance and supporting business growth through clear, data-driven insights.  

Brand & Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute the annual marketing plan in alignment with company goals and budget.
  • Strengthen brand recognition and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Generate creative ideas and campaigns to increase visibility. 

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Own content creation from start to finish, including ideation, writing, design, and publication.
  • Produce thought leadership, SBA-focused insights, and educational content for LinkedIn and the company website.
  • Stay current on SBA, industry, and market trends to inform timely, relevant content.

Digital & Website Management

  • Manage the company website, including redesign projects and ongoing content updates.
  • Work directly with developers to translate designs into functional website enhancements.
  • Ensure a strong, modern user experience and cohesive visual presence.

Design & Creative Execution

  • Design marketing assets for social media, website, and campaigns.
  • Create visually compelling graphics that support brand identity and engagement.
  • Use tools such as Figma to develop concepts and collaborate with internal and external partners.

Marketing Technology & Analytics

  • Use Salesforce marketing tools to support campaigns and track leads generated from marketing efforts within Salesforce.
  • Measure and analyze performance across channels, including social media, website traffic, and video content (e.g., YouTube).
  • Prepare clear performance summaries and insights to inform decision-making and future strategy.

Marketing Operations 

  • Manage the marketing calendar, timelines, and day-to-day execution.
  • Order and manage branded materials, including new-hire swag and business cards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support marketing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of marketing experience, preferably in financial services.  
  • Strong knowledge of SBA lending and the small-business finance landscape.
  • Salesforce marketing and lead tracking experience.
  • Website design experience and ability to collaborate with developers.
  • Graphic design skills for digital marketing content.
  • Experience managing LinkedIn and website publishing.
  • Familiarity with analytics and performance tracking.  
  • Experience with Figma or similar design tools.
